The Saskatoon Stars are a win away from capturing the National Midget Triple-A Girls hockey championship.
Grace Shirley and Mackenna Parker scored two goals each leading the Saskatchewan and Western Canada champions to a 5-1 win over Quebec in their Friday afternoon semifinal in Bridgewater, N.S.
The Stars are unbeaten through five round robin games and one playoff contest. They will meet the winner of the Friday night semifinal between Brampton, Ont. and St. Albert in Saturday’s Esso Cup gold medal game.
