Naloxone was administered to two men by emergency responders early this morning (Thurs).
Saskatoon Police report that patrol officers responded to a medical call at an apartment in the 100 block of Avenue U South just before 7 o’clock for what was believed to be a man suffering from an overdose.
Naloxone and CPR were administered and while that was going on, a second man collapsed just as paramedics arrived, so they delivered Naloxone to him as well.
Both were transported to hospital with non life threatening injuries.
The Saskatoon Police Service reminds everyone that any drugs not prescribed by a doctor or dispensed by a pharmacist can pose a serious risk of injury or death.
