Saskatchewan is Toronto Strong.
Those words from Premier Scott Moe as he stood before the Legislature to give condolences to the loved ones of those killed and injured in the pedestrian attack on Monday.
Sixteen people died and fifteen were injured after a man mowed down pedestrians on Yonge Street.
Moe says Torontonians supported Saskatchewan after the tragic Humboldt Broncos bus crash and now its our turn to support Canada’s largest city.
Official opposition leader Ryan Meili also offered condolences and thanked law enforcement officers and first responders for being there when they were needed, as they were for the Humboldt crash.
There was a moment of silence in the Legislature in honour of the City of Toronto and all those affected by the deaths and injuries on Yonge Street on Monday.
