The Saskatoon Stars finally allowed a goal at the Esso Cup…but that is it through three games!
The St. Albert, Alberta, Slash opened the scoring in Nova Scotia Tuesday afternoon, but the Stars handled the rest of the scoring in a 4-1 triumph that left Saskatoon with three regulation wins in as many outings…good for nine points and first place at the Canadian Female Midget Triple-A Championship tournament. St. Albert are the defending champs. Joelle Fiala had a goal and assist while Calli Arnold, Mackenna Parker and Anna Leschyshyn scored the other goals for the Stars who held a 32-21 advantage in shots on goal. Saskatoon plays the host Metro Boston Pizza team Wednesday evening.
