A man driving a motorcycle tried to evade police Saturday just before 4 p.m. after speeding by a motorcycle officer at Idylwyld Drive and 25th Street.
The driver continued to drive erratically going north on Idylwyld.
Patrol cars stopped the chase and the Police Air Support Unit took over tracking the speeding motorcyclist.
The bike then ended up crashing in a parking lot on Airport Drive. The driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital.
The driver of the motorcycle now faces charges of Impaired Driving, Dangerous Driving and Evading Police.
