Suspicious Death

There has been a suspicious death in Midale. Weyburn and Estevan RCMP were called out just after 8:30 this morning (fri). Police don’t believe there is a risk to public safety but people will notice an increased police presence at a business in the community. Officers are in the preliminary stages of the investigation and have nothing further to release. They do ask people in the area to respect police boundaries that are in place.

Charges Laid in February Fatal Accident

The accident was in February and RCMP are just now laying charges after a single vehicle rollover on the TransCanada east of Morse. Four people in the vehicle were treated for injuries while a fifth was deceased at the scene. 23 year old Demi McKechnie of Moose Jaw was killed and 21 year old Adrian Spencer McLaren of Moose Jaw is facing four charges including Impaired Driving Causing Death. McLaren is in Swift Current court to face the charges on May 16th. RCMP consider this investigation ongoing and ask that anyone with information to contact the Morse Detachment or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
