The opposition party is raising concerns about the growing number of lawsuits coming out of the Regina bypass. 23 lawsuits surrounding land acquisition are now outstanding. That’s risen from nine last year. Minister of Highways and Infrastructure David Marit says officials are working with the landowners to evaluate and try to come to terms on a price. During question period, NDP critic Buckley Belanger criticized the government for not revealing the true number of lawsuits and the amount these will add to the current 2 billion dollar cost of the bypass.
