Last Saturday, Regina Police executed a search warrant at a home on the 14 hundred block of Royal Street. They say they found stolen vehicle keys, drivers’ licenses, SIN cards, health cards, a passport, a birth certificate, and an India Status Card. There were cheques, wallets, credit cards, drug paraphernalia, cash, counterfeit currency, a baton weapon and what police believe to be cocaine and methamphetamine. 36 year old Danielle Fink and 33 year old Melissa Kaplun, both of Regina, were arrested. Kaplun is facing several charges including Theft and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. But Fink is facing many more charges including 11 counts of Identity Fraud, 18 counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Possession of Counterfeit Currency and Theft of a Motor Vehicle.
This all began as an investigation into automobile thefts in Regina between March 22nd and April 14th. Both women have made their first court appearances.
