The road bans will go into effect as of midnight on Monday across southern Saskatchewan, as well as the Saskatoon, Kindersley and North Battleford areas.
Road bans are expected to be implemented across the rest of the province on April 16.
Spring road bans restrict the amount of weight trucks can haul on many secondary highways. The difference between spring weights and normal secondary weights is about 10 to 15 per cent, depending on truck configuration.
The weight restrictions are implemented each spring to protect roads from truck damage.
