SGI is hoping the latest set of traffic stats for 2016 encourage drivers to ease off the hammer. Tyler McMurchy says 124,000 thousand motorists were issued speeding tickets in 2016, a stat which inevitably caused some tragic circumstances.
He says 22 people lost their lives in 2016 as a result of speed-related crashes. McMurchy says if drivers continue to speed, they’ll pay more, a s the cost of speeding tickets will be increased by 30 dollars and per kilometre.
