Just after 5 yesterday afternoon, fire crews responded to a single family dwelling at 223 Ave X South after receiving multiple calls of heavy smoke coming from the top floor.
When crews arrived they found heavy smoke coming out of open windows in the front and back of the home.
Crews found no occupants in the home and had the fire under control in 8 minutes.
An adult man and an adult woman exited the home prior to fire crews arriving.
The woman was medically examined and was released for possible smoke inhalation.
Damage is estimated to be at $130 thousand dollars.
