It turned out to be a false alarm. Regina Police were investigating after a suspicious package was left sometime overnight on a sidewalk in the 1700 block of Hamilton Street. Police have determined the package is not a public safety risk.
While investigating, police had to shut down the 1700 block of Hamilton Street to both pedestrian and vehicle traffic. It has since re-opened.
